Creating/resetting the purchase passcode for Hulu Store – Hulu Help Center

You can purchase and watch content with the owner profile or other profiles that you have created.

*Users with kids profile can do neither.

You can create a passcode to prevent unintentional rental/purchase.

You cannot rent/purchase content without the purchase passcode once you set one up.

You can set the passcode with the following steps:

Access to the account page.
If you are not logged in, you will see a login screen. Please log in with the e-mail address and the password.
If you are asked to select a profile, please choose the most left profile (owner profile).
If you are asked to enter the password again, enter the password and select [Next].
Select [Account settings] tab and click on "Send settings email" on the right of "Restrict purchases with a passcode at the Hulu Store.”
You will receive an email to your Hulu account email. Please open the link in the email and enter the new passcode.
*If you cannot open the link directly, please copy and paste the URL into the address bar on the web browser.
*If you don't seem to get the email within 15 minutes, please check the spam folder, and please make sure that you allow emails from @hulu.jp.
Enter a passcode you would like and select [Submit].
When it says "Passcode settings completed," it is complete.

Select [Account settings] tab from the account page, and click on "Update" on the right of "Restrict purchases with a passcode at the Hulu Store."
If you forgot the passcode, select [Forgot passcode? Please reset from here.].
*If you are prompted to enter the Hulu account password Hulu, please follow the instruction.
Select [Send settings email].
You will receive an email to your Hulu account email. Please open the link in the email and enter the new passcode.
*If you cannot open the link directly, please copy and paste the URL into the address bar on the web browser.
Enter the new passcode and select [Edit]. If you would like to disable the passcode, turn [Enable passcode] off. (The button is green if enabled, white if disabled.)
When it says "Passcode settings completed," it is complete.
